How handicap betting works
The term "handicap" (from the English handicap) comes from equestrian sports, where it means equalizing the chances of rivals by assigning additional weight to the horse. In sports betting, a handicap is a way to equalize the chances of teams or participants by providing an advantage or disadvantage in the form of additional goals, points, or time.
